BG (Res.) Prof. Jacob Nagel is a visiting professor at the Technion, Haifa, Aerospace Engineering Faculty, and the head of ADRI. He is a senior fellow at the FDD (NGO in Washington) – foundation for Defense of Democracies.
Nagel served as the Head of the National Security Council (NSC) and as PM National Security Advisor (Acting) from Jan 2016 until May 2017.
Nagel led the negotiations with US on the ten years (2018-2027) MOU and signed the agreement worth 38B$. He led the Israeli experts team working with the superpower’s negotiations with IRAN on the JCPOA (IRAN nuclear program).
Nagel served in various technological positions at the MOD DDR&D (Ministry of Defense – Directorate of Defense Research & Development), among them the Scientific Deputy and the Acting Head of the military R&D.
During this period, he was the head of the “NAGEL committee” that recommended on IRON DOME as Israel BMD short range system.
BG (Res.) Jacob Nagel was born in 1957, he is married and has 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
